CutAways new EP, START STOP! START STOP!, recorded with Oppenheimer's Rocky O'Reilly, is released October 13th on CD Digipak and download (iTunes, Amazon, Napster). Featuring four tracks of quirky, witty and hook-laden indie-pop it promises to be a feast for all good ears. The EP is launched with a show in Belfast’s Empire Music Hall on Thursday 9th October.

CutAways are a synth-driven indie-pop trio from Belfast. They have bags of melodies, harmonies, grooves and upbeat songs that'll make your head spin and your heart melt. In a good way.

Paul McIver sings, plays guitar and believe it or not, has never taken a dance lesson.
Grace McMacken plays keyboards, the melodica, sings and cuts her own hair.
Ryan Simpson plays drums and talks too quickly. And too much.

CutAways have shared stages with Brakes, 1990s, Charlotte Hatherley, Tiny Dancers, Les Savy Fav and the Shout Out Louds amongst others and have made noise on stages across the UK and Ireland, including renowned venues like The Water Rats (London), The Cavern (Liverpool) and The Limelight (Belfast).

As well as plays on Radio 1, XFM, Irelands national station 2FM and dozens of regional stations across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US, CutAways recorded a much coveted BBC Radio 1 live session earlier in 2008 as well as notching up an appearance at Glasgowbury Festival along with Ash.
